Dickie Davenport was a bird private eye. Undercover surveillance was his speciality. He was short in stature but he had a big reputation for his ability to spy on people.
Currently, he had a case involving a fiery hot yellow finch.
His finch client, Simone Siren, told Dickie Davenport that a low life pigeon came into her home and stole her favorite rock. The rock was dark grey with an inscription that read "Remember" on it. She said it was a treasured stone from her parents. Dickie Davenport took the case because Simone was a stunning bird and she was also good for business. Dickie set out to interview any possible witnesses.
January 2, 1950 Interview with Two Buddha Brothers not far from the scene of the robbery.
"Hey! Either of you two clowns seen anybody run by here with a big rock or stone?" asked Dickie.
"HE WHO IS SMALL SHALL REMAIN SMALL AT ALL TIMES!" replied the Double Buddhas.
"Alright funny fat men!""WHAT'S THAT down there?" Dickie asked as he gazed straight down at a stone with the word "Remember" on it.
"BUDDAH REMEMBER THINGS OFTEN - OFTEN BUDDAH NEED REMINDER TO REMEMBER THINGS!" the double Buddha's replied.
"DO NOT ##@@#!! WITH ME!" said Dickie in a threatening voice to one of the Buddha's.
"BIRD DETECTIVE WHO GET INTO BUDDHA'S PERSONAL SPACE - FOOLISH MAN!" the Buddha's said in unison.
"WHERE'S THE #!##!!@! ROCK?" asked a frustrated Dickie.
The double Buddhas held on to their stomachs as they began to laugh.
"THAT'S IT! " shouted Dickie! "I'm going to frisk the two of you, until I find that ##!@!# rock!"
"BIRD WHO LOOK FOR ROCK UNDER BUDDAH GARMENT, HAVE BIG STONES!" the double Buddha's blurted out between laughs!
The Buddah Brothers took great pleasure in always speaking in parables... especially to nosy BIRDS.
