Bernie an'Beatrice...

Bernie wasn't much for fashion but he knew his girlfriend Beatrice liked purses that matched her personality.

Bernie spotted the perfect purse for Beatrice at Birdie's Purse Emporium when he was flying by the store.

 Bernie wasted no time staking out the purse he planned to buy for his girlfriend.

If anybody tried to even come near the purse before he could buy it for his beloved Bernice, Bernie would give them his best stink eye!

Bernie proved himself time and again to be one hell of a thoughtful boyfriend!

Confused reindeer blinded by snow -

During a fluke snowstorm of epic proportions, a reindeer, blinded by the snowfall, fell into the sleigh he was pulling.  A bird sitting nearby witnessed the event.

A grey squirrel passing by, offered to help the reindeer get back on his feet again, but the reindeer was tightly stuck in his snow-filled sleigh and the grey squirrel's efforts were futile. 

A black squirrel happened by and also attempted to help the reindeer, but the snow proved to be too much for him.

 The grey squirrel returned to the scene; upon observing that the reindeer was still stuck in his sleigh, the grey squirrel stole the unfortunate reindeer's lunch and ran off with it.

Tail stations...

DID YOU KNOW????  That withIn the SQUIRREL kingdom..

ROOSTERS operate something called a 'tail monitoring station?'????!

Apparently...at the tail monitoring stations... squirrels are required to back in toward the rooster tail station monitors, and at that time the tail monitors  make  a mental note of the squirrels tail size and diameter.

The squirrels find the rooster tail station monitors to be quite pompus so they often try to confuse them by running circles around them.

Camera people are soooooo annoying....

WOW!@ This squirrel appears to be floating as it devours red berries!

Just moments after I took this photo..the squirrel leaped over to a branch near me and said: "You better have a photo release for me to sign if you are taking photos of me!".

This is why I don't like to do a lot of blogs on squirrels, they are so picky about clauses in their contracts etc.  Birds are so much easier and cooperative.

Roofing insurance contractors repeatedly deny home-owners claim of 'Hail Damage'

Felix Feathersnapper's home had suffered what he claimed to be hail damage.

Upon careful inspection, roofing inspectors wrote in their reports..."Mr. Feathersnapper's roof is covered in what appears to be years of bird poop - not to be classified as 'hail'."

Thus, the damaged/disintegrated roof on Felix's home would have to be fixed and paid for by Felix himself.

"Good to the last drop!"

In the bird world, "Good to the Last Drop" applies to certain 'desired' brands of higher quality suet.  

As you can see, this red breasted woodpecker is savoring every last morsel of the brand name suet on the bottom, while the generic brand suet on the top is noticeably shunned.

Stealth Practice....

Shown above…at the prestigious.... Squirrel School of Stealth…a squirrel practices... sneaking up on a mechanically driven bird!

In this case, a decoy bird has been set in place on a vintage post, which has been a popular training tool for squirrels since the mid-century.

If the decoy bird turns around before the squirrel gets the jump on the bird, the squirrel will automatically receive a FAIL score and has to start the course all over again.

To date no squirrel in history has EVER made it on the first try.
