Once upon a time there were two birds - Lonnie and Lorenda Lorado. This is the story of how they were able to obtain food when their food shelves were bare.
Lonnie Lorado was out of bird food at home. The cupboards were empty. His wife Lorenda Lorado told Lonnie he better fly around and try to find something for them to eat. Lonnie had been watching television prior to the conversation with his wife regarding food, and had seen a Staples advertisement for their 'easy button'. "That's a load of bird droppings!" Lonnie said. "No button can really make things happen THAT easily!" Lorenda, who was a romantic said to Lonnie, "If you BELIEVE anything can happen sweetie!"
Lonnie told his wife he would 'handle' the food situation and flew off towards a nearby shopping mall. Lonnie couldn't stop thinking about that ridiculous Staples ad and he couldn't help but wonder if his sweet little wife was right... "What IF the thing really works?" Lonnie decided then and there that it was worth a chance to see if it would work for his situation!
Lonnie flew over to a Staples store near his home and just then, a huge Staples truck loaded with easy buttons pulled up to the store with a delivery. Lonnie watched as the delivery guy opened up the back of the truck to begin unloading. Lonnie flew down and landed on the truck. He noticed that one of the boxes full of easy buttons was broken and several easy buttons had spilled out. He waited for the driver guy to go into the store with some deliveries. It was then that Lonnie made his move.
Lonnie was a good bird but he needed a miracle for his wife and according to the television ad, the easy button was going to be his miracle!
Lonnie quickly flew down, took an easy button in his beak, and flew away as fast as he could. He didn't stop to rest until he landed next to his home and then, he set the button down on the ground.
He took a deep breath and jumped up onto the easy button as hard as he could and he said "MY LOVELY WIFE AND I REALLY NEED FOOD!"
When Lorenda saw all the food she was absolutely astonished! "Where on earth did you get all this food Lonnie?" she asked!
Lonnie pointed at the easy button and told her the story of how he stood on it and BELIEVED and then... just like THAT, he had food!
Lizbeth said "Lonnie! That easy button is a lifesaver and YOU, LONNIE LOREDO ARE THE BEST HUSBAND A BIRD COULD EVER HAVE!
Lonnie and his wife lived happily ever after and Lonnie NEVER let the easy button out of his sight!
